The class was divided into three groups. We were divided because we are going to do a play. I was with Lily, Tessa, Blossom, Nathaniel and James.
We did a play called 'Santa Trap'. My character was Tania, James was my evil twin, Michael. Blossom was Dylan, Tessa was Sophie, Lily was Amy and Nathaniel was Santa. We were the first group to perform.The play was about Amy, Dylan, Tania and Michael, the top children in the naughty list, setting a trap to Santa. They set a trap so they can have more gifts than Sophie, the goody-good Sophie. But what they got for Christmas is a present that helps them to be off the naughty list. Which is good, but still their evil, they didn't like their presents. Sophie in the other hand, got a new dolly! And we ran after her saying "Aaaarrrggghhh!"
The second group to perform is Daniel's group. The play was about Santa (Luca) having cakes instead of cookies or milk while giving the presents to the kid's houses. Daniel is Santa's wife, (I thought he was a farmer, by the look of his costume) Is preparing Santa's things for the trip around the world. Then the all the reindeers came. They protested about having milk and cookies, they don't like to eat hay anymore. I don't know why, because I didn't heard what Rudolph (Lewis) said, Probably because the voice isn't loud enough to hear. I did like their play, There was Comedy. Maybe just speak more loudly for some people.
The third group to perform is Holly's group. Their play is about Holly having plain sandwiches and her friends having special and delicious sandwiches. One person got a Honey-baked ham and other
Subject Review
Art: This term we did the Butterfly sculpture made out of computer parts. I like the way mine looked, I think it's an amazing project. We also made an Easter Island sculpture. The project took me about three lessons, as far as I could remember. The hard part about it is attaching the nose to the face, I put a lot of clay and water in the creases. But I had fun. The class recently started a project, the Christmas card! I just finished mine yesterday and my brother said I did too much glitter. Oh well!
Maths: With Miss M, We did a whole lot of tests. But I got good scores so it was worth it. In Mathletics, I really liked Geometry, It's very easy and I can understand it really well. There was a Sum Dog competition weeks ago, We came 2nd, which was fine because we came 1st. With Mr Potter, We did Black. It was so fun! We also did Logic Maths, which is confusing but fun. After all, I thought Maths with these teachers are too much fun! I'm starting to like Maths.
Wasps swarming around Twizel!
It's summer! And it's that time where wasps fly around us, which is annoying! They are pests, and very dangerous to kids! I don't like them either.

What Shelly talked about...
She talked about what people who work in Antarctica do, Conserving Artefacts. She also talked about they used the biscuit tins to make lamps! The oldest hut is called Discovery Hut. Robert Falcon Scott built it. It's also an Australian building, there's also a theatre inside called "The Terror Theatre".
My thoughts on what it would be like to "work" in Antarctica...
I thought being paid for conserving artefacts is a pretty good job. But, I still don't want it because it isn't my passion.

a) How did I found out Donald Trump won. I was on my bed, watching YouTube videos. Then, my brother came in and said "Donald Trump won in Florida,". I am with Hillary, I seriously HATED him. Okay, so It's just Florida, right? I thought. 2 hours later. "NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!" I yelled. I searched up who won the election, guess what? HE WON! I felt bad for the people who voted for Hillary. I'm getting ready for World War 3.
My Opinion:
Donald Trump is the worst human being in the whole world. But his hair is so funny. Americans are dumb. Also, he is sexist, racist, narcissist and many more. I know why they voted for him. Americans want to change. But, Hillary can change the world as well!
b) I felt bad with it. I don't like him. There's a lot of reason why I hate him. That's it I'm going to find a cave and hide there, waiting for World War 3.
c) Tessa said "He's stupid,". Lily said "I think he shouldn't been won and Americans are being silly". Blossom said "Americans are silly, and she cannot believe it because Donald Trump said "I'm going to build a wall and Mexico will pay for it".
d) I think he got in because there's a lot of people want to change America. And they think that Trump can change it.

Dear Diary,
The chilling wind made my legs shaky. It wasn't my fault that I knew that the new teacher wears wig, I mean, it was obvious. That teacher just hates me. "I've never seen the old school building, it's been abandoned I heard," I said. "I should just find that book and run away." . I grabbed the keys making a loud sound, It was so loud it made an echo. "CREEEEEAAAAAKK!" said the old rusty door. I saw the front of the old school. It's just like a movie scene, old stuff, webs, dusty furniture, webs, squeaky rats. Ugh, I wanted to throw up. I went upstairs, the stairs was wood so it made that sound, you know, that sound went you break a stick. I felt the spooky atmosphere.
When I reached the second floor, I saw a girl crying, she was hugging her teddy bear, I thought that girl was real. It looked, real. Plus, the teddy bear looks cuddly. The moonlit was shining on her, It looks like she's on the centre of the stage. "Are you okay? How did yo-". I took a step and she was gone. "Wah!". It was that terrifying I fell of my knees. I ran and ran. I was so scared. I stopped for a moment, catching my breath. I looked up and saw a door with a number "03" on the door. Then I remembered what that teacher who's wearing a wig, Ugh, just thinking of him makes me want to scrunch up his face. "Go to the old school building and find a green leather book in room 03, It's your punishment!" he said. I opened the door. Then my mind completely twisted out of the blue.
"Don't!" I shouted. Why did I shouted? I thought. This room is completely haunted. It's the drama room. Dolls, mannequins, costumes, props. Everything looks AWESOME. There was interesting stuff in there, there was typewriters, cassette tapes, and- Okay! need to find that book. I saw a tiny bookshelf on the corner. I checked it out, mostly they're just Maths and English books. The bookshelf looked, something secret in it. I knocked on the bookshelf and heard if there's anything shallow. I found that part and punched it. BANG! I saw the fearsome book. But it looks new, it seemed like someone's been using it everyday. Then a shadowing shadow (Well, I have to use that word) suddenly passed behind me. The spine-chilling moment hit me. It didn't bothered me, I'm brave I thought. And I looked down my feet and I was shaking, as if I saw my evil neighbour ready to hit me with her stick for letting my dog poo on her yard. Anyway, I stopped shaking and calmed down. I opened the book and a blinding light shown on me........
Water is so important. It keeps our body hydrated. I usually drink water, when I was a kid I don't really like it because it tastes nothing. But know that I know water is helpful to my body, I drink water everyday. My mum said that you should drink 8-10 glasses of water.

got no choice anyways! I'm the type of person who never say "I'm sorry, but I have a lot to do."!!! "A play?" said someone. "I'm not good at singing or acting" someone said. The class was full of negative atmosphere. Then someone stood up, it was Lily. "I thi...nk it..'s..a go..od...id...e.a" LIly insisted.
Lily just stood there, she didn't run away instead she sat down. RING! RING! RING! The bell rang and everyone stood and walked away. "I'm better off,

"Even though I had the worst job I had fun!" Harry said. "I want to do more musicals.But, since it's our last year here, seems like it's our first and last" Victoria sighed. There was a long silence. Everyone started sobbing, then crying. "Don't cry everyone, you can still do it, remember when you said you'll visit me here every year? Then, um, do a musical every visit!" I said.
"I want to sing more with you Professor!" Victoria said. "Guys, don't cry please" Lily said. "You make me feel emotional. I have a few words to say, To the class, It's been a very enjoyable year. I didn't talk a lot since I can't, But now, I think the curse has lifted. I feel super good, I want to talk more, with all of you. To Harry, I love it that you're so funny. So we've been doing a lot of Antarctica related in our wikis, so here's what we have so far.
We did a survey about Antarctica, there was not so many questions. We had to draw Antarctica, I drew two penguins and mountains. And I also did Nepal, which is a fail.

Yesterday we made Hash Browns, I liked it, I loved it so much! Here's how to make them!
Ingredients:
Potatoes
Lettuce, Pepper, Pea sprouts (Optional) If you want to decorate it.
Of course, wash your hands first!
1. Wash your potatoes thoroughly, you can peel it if you want to.
2. Get a grater and grate the potato.
3. Prepare a pot and put some butter on it, wait till the pot is hot.
4.Shape the grated potato into patties or whatever shape you like.
5. Put the potatoes on the pot and wait for it to cook.

What book or TV show do you think everyone enjoyed?
Everyone love Harry Potter. The book or the movie, the whole world liked it. The story is fantastic and magical, they released the first book in June 30 1997. Soon, people started reading the book, admired it, and enjoyed it. Years later, a new movie called " Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" came. Starring, Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger (Lily's a fan of her!) and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. Then the next movie came. Until the last movie came, it was unhappy that the movie ended. I almost cried that George died. But the characters will be reminded in our memories.
Why did the people loved Harry Potter? I searched it up why did, here's what came up. There's a lot came up, but I did put the best.
1. J.K Rowling (The Author) might not be the BEST writer in the world, but she is still very, very good.
2. Her ideas are very creative and original.
3. Every character in her books has their own individual personality.
4. The villains are pretty impressive. Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters never fail to give me the chills when they’re doing something particularly evil!
5. Some people say Harry Potter is for kids only…WRONG! It’s for all ages! I, for one, will still be reading them when I’m eighty years old and senile! And plus, who would put Thestrals and Death Eaters in a kid’s book?
6. Hermione is a very strong and independent woman! As is Ginny, Tonks, Mrs Weasley, and even Luna Lovegood! They’re great role models!
7. Albus Dumbledore is great. He says the wisest things and is fair and kind to everyone and everything.
8. J.K Rowling’s writing is very descriptive and fun to read.
9. The Harry Potter books are very interesting and sometime take you by surprise. The plot isn’t very predictable.
10.I love how Neville Longbottom (the stereotypical loser) saves them all from certain doom in the end by killing Nagini.

I hope I'm getting extra credit for this. A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, I was
like, 'Can we do this anonymously? Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again.' But it helps you to know your Greek gods, and
survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week.

Hanger project in Social Studies...
My person: Louisa Cadamuro is a French women's international footballer who plays for French club Lyon in the Division 1 Feminine .
She plays as a central attacking midfielder and is described as a "gifted player" who "possesses superb technique". Louisa is also known
for her "elegant possession, sublime passing skills, and cultured touch on the ball".
My Science Experiment with Lily...
Lily and I were partners in Science doing an exciting experiment. We are doing Rainbow Reflection which is also related to Light, In this experiment we are going to find out if some liquid can make a rainbow. The beverages are Water, Lemonade, Raspberry and Ice-cream soda. most of them worked out, We just need to present our Slides.

In WAVE today.....
I'm in WAVE and we did some amazing games with the junior. I was with Lily and Tessa. Tessa and I picked to play the Ball game.
Lily participated in 10 pin bowling. At first I helped in the 10 pin bowling by putting up the pins after they got hit. Tessa also helped me as well.
Then, I went to play the Ball game with Bailie and some junior boys. We are totally going to win the game! The Cards game is also a very exciting game, yet a tense game! Unfortunately, I didn't play it, but helping is also fun.

My dog doesn't like me by Elizabeth Fensham
Plot:
Eric is very disappointed in the dog he got for his eight birthday. He thought the dog, named Ugly (because he is just that),
was going to be his 'best friend'. But Ugly doesn't even consider Eric his first- or second-best friend. Ugly loves Eric's mum,
grandad, dad, and his horrible sister Gretchen, even more than him.
My prediction of the end of the story is....
I think Ugly will learn to be Eric's 'best friend' and never argue with Mrs Manchester's cat Penelope. I also thought that Ugly will be a good
dog to his owner.
Where I'm up to.....
I'm up to chapter twenty-five page 111, so far the training with Ugly is pretty hard than Eric thought.

Czech speed skater Martina Sáblíková was only 18 when she took part in her first Olympic Winter Games at Turin 2006. While something of an unknown outside her sport, her opponents knew full well she was a force to be reckoned with, the teenager having broken a string of junior world records and won her first European Championship medals by the time she went to Italy. Anna Dušková is a Czech figure skater. Competing in pairs with partner Martin Bidař, she is the 2016 World Junior champion, 2016 Youth Olympic silver medalist, and 2015 JGP Final silver medalist.
Single Skating
As a single skater, Dušková made her JGP debut in September 2013, placing 12th at an event in Gdańsk, Poland. She competed at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria but was eliminated after placing 32nd in the short program. During the 2014–15 season, she placed 10th and 14th at her JGP assignments.
In 2015–16, Dušková was 10th at her JGP event in Toruń, Poland. Olympics will be held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It will start in August 5, 2016 - August 21, 2016. New Zealand will participate and I hope they'll
win some medals! This Olympics there are 306 events in 19 days! They will give 136 medals for women and 161 medals for men and nine mixed
medals.

Term2Highlights
When we went to the museum it was really fun! My favourite museum is the Forrester Gallery. With the class and the parents the trip is more fun.
I'm in the van with Blossom and Tessa. Baking cookies. M1 baked cookies for the Guide Dogs. My partner is Blossom and Georgia, We made
Lemon cookies. It was really satisfying rolling the dough! School Production. I watched the production the second day. My favourite part is when
Caitlin fired the pool gun. I know that the gun's going to fire, but I thought it's going to happen last. It was an amazing play! There's funny parts,
action parts and creepy parts.
Term1Highlights
Camp was absolutely amazing! It was my first time camping with out any of my family, just me! My favourite part is when we did Shooting, Circuit,
Archery and Team Building. I also like when we did the Camp concert, Lily, Tessa, Georgia and I did a play called "Being a new kid" . Holly, Blossom
and Oliver did a play as well. I hated Tramp. It was the worst. Walking to the never ending path, with a heavy and bulky bag on your back. But every
night we play Spotlight, and that makes the Tramp a little bit fun! When we walked to Huxley we thought that we are going to die in the middle of.....
nowhere. But suddenly, Mr. White came! Lifesaver! Lily and I hopped in the car and found a place to relax. When we came in Huxley Lily and I rushed
inside and layed down.

2016 Maori Language Week
Māori Language Week 2016 is going to be positive, relevant, energetic, fun and exciting! It will show New Zealand that there is a place for the Māori language in our stadiums, on our sports fields, in the news and the ever growing realm of social media. It will also show the country that te reo Māori is a language for all New Zealanders. The campaign will run from July 4 – 10. The theme for this year is ākina te reo – behind you all the way which is about using te reo Māori to support people, to inspire and to cheer on. Continuing with last year’s approach, we will develop 50 phrases in te reo Māori that are simple to use, even for those with little or no grasp of the language. To ensure the phrases carry momentum, over and beyond the campaign week, we will hang them off sports events, starting with the Olympics and other popular sports codes and events that occur throughout the year, and that move our communities and the nation to rally behind our athletes. Māori Language Week is an annual campaign, led by the Māori Language Commission, to promote the language to New Zealand. The campaign is about raising awareness that New Zealand has its very own language and encouraging the use of it, with simple phrases every day, week and month of the year.
Māori Language Week, te wiki o te reo Māori, is a government-sponsored initiative intended to encourage New Zealanders to promote the use of Māori language. Māori, English and New Zealand Sign Language are the official national languages of New Zealand. It is part of the broader Māori language revival.
It has been celebrated since 1975 and is currently spearheaded by Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development and the Māori Language Commission, with many organisations participating, including schools, libraries, government departments, etc.
Baking cookies
On Friday we made cookies for Guide Dogs. I paired up with Blossom and Georgia. It was really fun rolling the soft dough. But unfortunately Blossom
need to go to Production practice. I thought I was going to be alone, then Georgia came and I was like YAY! We used the dog cookie cutter and the
star cookie cutter. We used the cookie star cutter for Matariki. Room 15 have been studying about Matariki. Blossom finished the practice it was really
fun with more people. We made Lemon dog cookies. My favourite part is rolling the dough and pressing the cutter to the dough. After all we forgot to
take out the cookies in the oven. 20 cookies were burnt! But we had a chance to have a taste, but it tasted bitter!

The Museum of the Past Part 1
Hi my name is Rain. My parents named that to me because it was raining when I was born. I live with my older brother Percy.
Our parents died in the Light Train 3 years ago, there was a malfunction in the train that caused the crash. Over 100 died. But my brother
told me never cry again to what happened to our parents, they will always be in our hearts.
Today we have a class trip. We're going to a museum, it's not just a museum, it's the museum of the past. I'm excited and dressed up in my
suit. As I walked out the door I saw my friend Iris. "Are you excited?" she said. "Totally" I replied. "Good! Last week everyone don't want to go,
but I'm lucky you're going with me!" she said. "Really? I thought you're going because I'm going" I said. "I am not doing all the things you're doing!".
Iris replied. "Well, mostly" I said.
When we're in the classroom no one's in there."Hello?" I said. The classroom is very gloomy and cold. As we went in, we looked for anyone.
Then suddenly a shadow went passed the door. "This is not funny guys" Iris said in a wobbly voice. "What's going on? Ms Haven?" I said.
When we turned around and walked we felt someone behind our backs."Arrrrghh!". We screamed and ran away, It's Ms Haven outside the classroom.
"What was that?" Ms Haven asked. "Ummmm.... ahh" I said. We heard laughing inside the classroom. We opened the door and saw Max, Fawke,
Milla and Grigg. "That wasn't scary, you know!" Iris said. "But you're shivering" Fawke said. "N-no I'm not!" Iris said. "That's enough!" Ms Haven said.
Milla walked towards us and said "I'm sooooo sorry guys!". "But why did you did it then? I said. "They told me if I didn't do it they'll bully me" she said.
"What! So you're saying you are scared of boys!" I said. "Am I?" Milla asked. "It's time to go, grab your bags and get ready!" Ms Haven said.
"It's giant!' Max shouted. "Can you shut up for the rest of the day?" Iris said. "It's not my plan, It's Fawkes!" Max replied. "Alright! We're coming in!"
Ms Haven said. "This is the robot who will show us the artefacts" Ms Haven said. "Hello Mr....." Grigg said. "Error" the robot said. "I'm asking you?".
"It doesn't have a name...I think" I said. Milla clears her throat "Ehem... Good Morning Mr Robot we are having a field trip here in the Museum of the Past". "Glad to meet you Miss Milla!". "How rude!" Grigg shouted. "We must go" Mr Robot said. As I walked through I blinding light coming towards me.

MATARIKI BISCUITS
Ingredients
150 g butter1/3 cup icing sugar½ cup cornflour½ cup ground almonds1 cup white flour1 tsp almond essence1 egg
Method
Melt the butter in a large pot.Remove it from the heat, mix in the dry ingredients.Whisk the egg and essence together.Add the egg mixture to the rest of the mix, stir in well.Add a little extra flour if the mixture is too wet to roll out.Form the dough into a ball and knead it gently on a well-floured board.Roll out the dough with a floured rolling pin to ½ cm thick.Cut it into shapes with a star-shaped cutter.Place the shapes on a greased or non-stick baking tray. (They can be close together as the mixture does not spread.)Bake the biscuits at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
Ice them with a water icing flavoured with almond essence (1 cup sifted icing sugar, 1 tsp almond essence, a little hot water to mix to a smooth icing) and decorate them with silver cashous, or hundreds and thousands, or flaked almonds.
I think it looks pretty simple but i bet it tastes good!

Duntroon Winter Sports
I woke up early to go to Duntroon. At first I don't want to go but everyone said it is not optional. So I paid and went.
I was nervous that no girl will go because most of them aren't going. But luckily Blossom and Holly was there! *whew*
My number is 3 so was Holly but Blossom is 4 and she said she is pretty quiet with the crowd she don't know.
They put us on a van while the juniors are in bus. We sang all the way up to Duntroon. Now we're here I felt more
nervousness in me, well poor Blossom she is the only Twizel girl in her group.
Now were going to start to play Netball, again, nervous. I've never played Netball before. Most of them played Netball.
Well, It went fine at first but, when the senior girl decided to play a game, I froze there and said ''okay''. My position is goal keep,
I have no idea what that means but they explained it to me how to do it, pretty much I get it....I guess. They won at the end I did
much better at Netball.
Next Soccer. I don't know why girls have to do soccer, I just don't know. I've played soccer before, but I did good! We played this
kind of game. You have tails tucked in your shorts an they represented as tails and you have to grab their tails to get them out.
Of course I did well, but not with this one. The next game we played is like the game we played first but with a twist. You have to
dribble the soccer ball while taking someone's tail. I came second but I feel bad for myself. Oh well let's move on to the next game.
This we were arranged into groups, I did a good job on this! Two goals,Two teams and many soccer balls! To play the game you have
to score, that's easy, I know, but someone is going to block you. It was really fun we won the first and they won to the second game.
This is my favourite one.....Taekwondo. I loved it so much I don't think girls would like it but it was worth it! We did different kinds of
kicks and punches. We also used punching bags to kick and punch. I also got a chance to punch the Teacher! Don't worry I didn't
knocked him out. At the end we gave our best to punch, Holly got the strongest punch!
LUNCH! I am so hungry that time after we used our energy. After we ate our lunch, we went to the playground and played. It was so fun
there are so many people who played that I don't know who's in.
We did our last one a bit far to the school....Golf. For me it was boring, I can't put the golf ball to the hoop I really can't do it. So, we walked
to the school and sat there. They thanked the coaches and teachers who helped us. We didn't know who will do it so, Blossom did.
After all We went home and rested. Learned new things.
M1 Field Trip 2016
Yesterday June 7th, We went to Oamaru. First we went to Forrester Gallery, Liz King the curator of the
museum showed us where to go. It was really fun we found Colin Wheeler's book.There was very strange paintings and
we had a chance to go to the wonderlab. There was creepy body parts like hearts and fat!
Fact: Forrester Gallery used to be.....a bank!
Next stop North Otago Museum. The first thing I saw a massive printer. The museum wasn't really that big because they're
moving behind the Forrester Gallery. Everyone is asking very good questions but I can't think of one so, I never asked.
Fact: North Otago Museum used to be an Athenaeum.
After, everyone went to Subway and bought their lunch. We ate our lunch in front of the next museum we're going to.
Oamaru Prehistoric World is full of dinosaurs. I liked it but Nathaniel didn't because he said dinosaurs are x-rated.
It fun watching the video of the dinosaurs. There is a dinosaur head where we took a photo.
Fact: We are the first class who went!
Lastly, We drive out to Duntroon and went to Fossil World. When I saw the fossils, I was so amazed. They have different kinds of
fossils, sea shells, shark teeth etc. I took many photos of the museum, and I really like the huge penguin! I really liked it but I think
Fact: North Otago & the surrounding Waitaki District are renowned for their striking geological formations & landforms along with the amazing amount of fossils found in the area.
We went home tired and our brains learnt new things.Room 15 really enjoyed the trip and learned many stuff. I hope the curators
also had fun spending their time with us.

Using this is really fun. And, everyone loved it!
Colin was born in Dunedin in 1919 Died June 2012Colin Wheeler is an Otago man, both by birth and residence. He took up commercial art as a career, studying first at the Canterbury School of Art and then at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in London; and subsequently became an art teacher at Waitaki Boys’ High School....
Retired from teaching, and living in Oamaru, Colin still paints for up to 70 hours per week. He has held several solo exhibitions of his painting, and is very well known for his Historic High Country Sheep Station books.

The video conference began with a girl from Halfway Bush School explaining the nesting habits at the Royal Albatross colony at the Otago Peninsula.

There was a long silence. No one in New Zealand would think of eating an royal Albatross egg. There are only few nesting pairs, and we are carefully protecting them.
But other Albatross egg? on sub-Antarctic islands where are they in common?
Nobody knew the answer - except me. I was dying to butt in. I had lived on Albatross and penguin eggs while teaching in the Falkland Islands.

Maths with Carol
I was sitting at class waiting what to happen.Blossom,Oliver and James were also with me.
First, we watched a video about Division, After Carol asked us what is division is. We have
partners to explained with.
Then,Carol gave us this ''Happy Board''. There is a hundred of happy faces on the board.
All of them have different colours. That makes it easier because there are breach numbers.
Now, Carol said to do 7 times tables using division.She started of a little bit then we did the rest.
It was pretty fun using the Happy Board but when Blossom's stuck OH NO! every ones doing well
except her. Miss McLennan tried to help her, that helped but she still not satisfied about it.
And then, the Bead Frame came. It really helped her a lot!
I really had fun doing Maths with Carol and Miss McLennan It was a big help for me to learn
Maths and some tricks that are really helpful.

Geek Girl by Holly Smale
First of, it was a good start.Second, I learnt some facts.
Youngest in the Family
Being the youngest in the family is bad, your brother/sister always give you commands.Well, you don't do much work but they treat you like a servant! do this, do that UGRH!!!!!!!!!!!! Every morning I have to wake my brother up every time he overslept it was so annoying that he can't wake up on his own! But, the nice part is your the one who always be forgiven, when my brother/sister and I had they always get told of. Being the youngest one isn't really that bad.
M1 Camp 2016
Camp was so fun! We played different kind of games. I like
helping stuff. At night, the boys keep flashing their torches in
our cabin!!! It was annoying at the end they got told of. When
It's time to go home I kinda feel sad but glad to see my parents.
This mythical oak tree comes from Greek mythology and was one of the first oracles of Zeus in the ancient days. The tree itself could not speak in a human tongue, but like any tree out there, its leaves would rustle in the wind and make noise. While it’s hard to say for sure who first came up with the idea, some accounts say that the first oracle of Dodona was likely an Egyptian priestess who was kidnapped and brought to the area. While the tree did have an actual history to it, it has also appeared in mythology. In the story of the Argonauts, Jason is told by the gods to use a branch from the tree as part of the construction of his ship, to make his journey safer. Achilles also goes to Dodona for guidance in the Iliad. Unfortunately, the real tree was cut down after Christianity became the dominant religion in the area.

Yesterday, I gave my mum THAT letter! and it was....fine, I guess. "Miss McLennan told us to give this letter" I said. "Okay" my mum said. After that I left
and did my homework. Moments later, "You did that last year as well didn't you?" my mum said. "Hmmm... I bet it will be funny as" I said boringly. "It won't be that bad,". I walked to my bedroom and ignored what she's saying.
Term 4
Play Recount
The class was divided into three groups. We were divided because we are going to do a play. I was with Lily, Tessa, Blossom, Nathaniel and James.
We did a play called 'Santa Trap'. My character was Tania, James was my evil twin, Michael. Blossom was Dylan, Tessa was Sophie, Lily was Amy and Nathaniel was Santa. We were the first group to perform.The play was about Amy, Dylan, Tania and Michael, the top children in the naughty list, setting a trap to Santa. They set a trap so they can have more gifts than Sophie, the goody-good Sophie. But what they got for Christmas is a present that helps them to be off the naughty list. Which is good, but still their evil, they didn't like their presents. Sophie in the other hand, got a new dolly! And we ran after her saying "Aaaarrrggghhh!"
The second group to perform is Daniel's group. The play was about Santa (Luca) having cakes instead of cookies or milk while giving the presents to the kid's houses. Daniel is Santa's wife, (I thought he was a farmer, by the look of his costume) Is preparing Santa's things for the trip around the world. Then the all the reindeers came. They protested about having milk and cookies, they don't like to eat hay anymore. I don't know why, because I didn't heard what Rudolph (Lewis) said, Probably because the voice isn't loud enough to hear. I did like their play, There was Comedy. Maybe just speak more loudly for some people.

Subject Review
Art: This term we did the Butterfly sculpture made out of computer parts. I like the way mine looked, I think it's an amazing project. We also made an Easter Island sculpture. The project took me about three lessons, as far as I could remember. The hard part about it is attaching the nose to the face, I put a lot of clay and water in the creases. But I had fun. The class recently started a project, the Christmas card! I just finished mine yesterday and my brother said I did too much glitter. Oh well!
Maths: With Miss M, We did a whole lot of tests. But I got good scores so it was worth it. In Mathletics, I really liked Geometry, It's very easy and I can understand it really well. There was a Sum Dog competition weeks ago, We came 2nd, which was fine because we came 1st. With Mr Potter, We did Black. It was so fun! We also did Logic Maths, which is confusing but fun. After all, I thought Maths with these teachers are too much fun! I'm starting to like Maths.

It's summer! And it's that time where wasps fly around us, which is annoying! They are pests, and very dangerous to kids! I don't like them either.

What Shelly talked about...
She talked about what people who work in Antarctica do, Conserving Artefacts. She also talked about they used the biscuit tins to make lamps! The oldest hut is called Discovery Hut. Robert Falcon Scott built it. It's also an Australian building, there's also a theatre inside called "The Terror Theatre".

Donald Trump wins. What will happen now?
a) How did I found out Donald Trump won. I was on my bed, watching YouTube videos. Then, my brother came in and said "Donald Trump won in Florida,". I am with Hillary, I seriously HATED him. Okay, so It's just Florida, right? I thought. 2 hours later. "NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!" I yelled. I searched up who won the election, guess what? HE WON! I felt bad for the people who voted for Hillary. I'm getting ready for World War 3.
My Opinion:
Donald Trump is the worst human being in the whole world. But his hair is so funny. Americans are dumb. Also, he is sexist, racist, narcissist and many more. I know why they voted for him. Americans want to change. But, Hillary can change the world as well!
b) I felt bad with it. I don't like him. There's a lot of reason why I hate him. That's it I'm going to find a cave and hide there, waiting for World War 3.
c) Tessa said "He's stupid,". Lily said "I think he shouldn't been won and Americans are being silly". Blossom said "Americans are silly, and she cannot believe it because Donald Trump said "I'm going to build a wall and Mexico will pay for it".
d) I think he got in because there's a lot of people want to change America. And they think that Trump can change it.

Spooky Moment (using descriptive vocabulary)
Dear Diary,
The chilling wind made my legs shaky. It wasn't my fault that I knew that the new teacher wears wig, I mean, it was obvious. That teacher just hates me. "I've never seen the old school building, it's been abandoned I heard," I said. "I should just find that book and run away." . I grabbed the keys making a loud sound, It was so loud it made an echo. "CREEEEEAAAAAKK!" said the old rusty door. I saw the front of the old school. It's just like a movie scene, old stuff, webs, dusty furniture, webs, squeaky rats. Ugh, I wanted to throw up. I went upstairs, the stairs was wood so it made that sound, you know, that sound went you break a stick. I felt the spooky atmosphere.
When I reached the second floor, I saw a girl crying, she was hugging her teddy bear, I thought that girl was real. It looked, real. Plus, the teddy bear looks cuddly. The moonlit was shining on her, It looks like she's on the centre of the stage. "Are you okay? How did yo-". I took a step and she was gone. "Wah!". It was that terrifying I fell of my knees. I ran and ran. I was so scared. I stopped for a moment, catching my breath. I looked up and saw a door with a number "03" on the door. Then I remembered what that teacher who's wearing a wig, Ugh, just thinking of him makes me want to scrunch up his face. "Go to the old school building and find a green leather book in room 03, It's your punishment!" he said. I opened the door. Then my mind completely twisted out of the blue.
"Don't!" I shouted. Why did I shouted? I thought. This room is completely haunted. It's the drama room. Dolls, mannequins, costumes, props. Everything looks AWESOME. There was interesting stuff in there, there was typewriters, cassette tapes, and- Okay! need to find that book. I saw a tiny bookshelf on the corner. I checked it out, mostly they're just Maths and English books. The bookshelf looked, something secret in it. I knocked on the bookshelf and heard if there's anything shallow. I found that part and punched it. BANG! I saw the fearsome book. But it looks new, it seemed like someone's been using it everyday. Then a shadowing shadow (Well, I have to use that word) suddenly passed behind me. The spine-chilling moment hit me. It didn't bothered me, I'm brave I thought. And I looked down my feet and I was shaking, as if I saw my evil neighbour ready to hit me with her stick for letting my dog poo on her yard. Anyway, I stopped shaking and calmed down. I opened the book and a blinding light shown on me........

Professor Johnson the dragon Teacher and the Silent girl
It's a new day to Professor Johnson, a new day to teach! "Good morning, Professor Johnson!" said the cheerful children. "Good Morning!" I exclaimed.
"Today we have a new student, come in!" I said. The new student came in the room, everyone was silent. "What's your
name, Darling?" I asked. She hurriedly grabbed her notebook and pen and started writing. "Lily.." I read. "Oh! what a lovely name" I stated.
30 minutes later
"Don't forget to practise it after school!" I reminded. I was going to leave the room but I saw Lily sitting silently. "Do you need any help, Darling?"

Months Later
"Okay, now we are going to have our class counsellor, hmmm..let's see, our class counsellors are Lily, Anna, Harry and Austin! "For real?" asked

back on the chair and closed my eyes.

got no choice anyways! I'm the type of person who never say "I'm sorry, but I have a lot to do."!!! "A play?" said someone. "I'm not good at singing or acting" someone said. The class was full of negative atmosphere. Then someone stood up, it was Lily. "I thi...nk it..'s..a go..od...id...e.a" LIly insisted.
Lily just stood there, she didn't run away instead she sat down. RING! RING! RING! The bell rang and everyone stood and walked away. "I'm better off,

"Everyone, we need to calm down!" Anna removed her eyeglasses and wiped them. "We don't want a musical, how many times do we have to say that!".

"Even though I had the worst job I had fun!" Harry said. "I want to do more musicals.But, since it's our last year here, seems like it's our first and last" Victoria sighed. There was a long silence. Everyone started sobbing, then crying. "Don't cry everyone, you can still do it, remember when you said you'll visit me here every year? Then, um, do a musical every visit!" I said.
"I want to sing more with you Professor!" Victoria said. "Guys, don't cry please" Lily said. "You make me feel emotional. I have a few words to say, To the class, It's been a very enjoyable year. I didn't talk a lot since I can't, But now, I think the curse has lifted. I feel super good, I want to talk more, with all of you. To Harry, I love it that you're so funny. Thanks for being my friend" . "It's..my pleasure" Harry said. "Austin, I forgive you and I like the way you think, it's very smart" . "Thanks.." Austin replied. We made Hash Browns! With Lettuce!
Yesterday we made Hash Browns, I liked it, I loved it so much! Here's how to make them!
Ingredients:
Potatoes
Lettuce, Pepper, Pea sprouts (Optional) If you want to decorate it.
Of course, wash your hands first!
1. Wash your potatoes thoroughly, you can peel it if you want to.
2. Get a grater and grate the potato.
3. Prepare a pot and put some butter on it, wait till the pot is hot.
4.Shape the grated potato into patties or whatever shape you like.
5. Put the potatoes on the pot and wait for it to cook.

What book or TV show do you think everyone enjoyed?
Everyone love Harry Potter. The book or the movie, the whole world liked it. The story is fantastic and magical, they released the first book in June 30 1997. Soon, people started reading the book, admired it, and enjoyed it. Years later, a new movie called " Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" came. Starring, Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger (Lily's a fan of her!) and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. Then the next movie came. Until the last movie came, it was unhappy that the movie ended. I almost cried that George died. But the characters will be reminded in our memories.
Why did the people loved Harry Potter? I searched it up why did, here's what came up. There's a lot came up, but I did put the best.
1. J.K Rowling (The Author) might not be the BEST writer in the world, but she is still very, very good.
2. Her ideas are very creative and original.
3. Every character in her books has their own individual personality.
4. The villains are pretty impressive. Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters never fail to give me the chills when they’re doing something particularly evil!
5. Some people say Harry Potter is for kids only…WRONG! It’s for all ages! I, for one, will still be reading them when I’m eighty years old and senile! And plus, who would put Thestrals and Death Eaters in a kid’s book?
6. Hermione is a very strong and independent woman! As is Ginny, Tonks, Mrs Weasley, and even Luna Lovegood! They’re great role models!
7. Albus Dumbledore is great. He says the wisest things and is fair and kind to everyone and everything.
8. J.K Rowling’s writing is very descriptive and fun to read.

In WAVE today.....
I'm in WAVE and we did some amazing games with the junior. I was with Lily and Tessa. Tessa and I picked to play the Ball game.
Lily participated in 10 pin bowling. At first I helped in the 10 pin bowling by putting up the pins after they got hit. Tessa also helped me as well.Then, I went to play the Ball game with Bailie and some junior boys. We are totally going to win the game! The Cards game is also a very exciting game, yet a tense game! Unfortunately, I didn't play it, but helping is also fun.

Plot:Eric is very disappointed in the dog he got for his eight birthday. He thought the dog, named Ugly (because he is just that),
was going to be his 'best friend'. But Ugly doesn't even consider Eric his first- or second-best friend. Ugly loves Eric's mum,
grandad, dad, and his horrible sister Gretchen, even more than him.
My prediction of the end of the story is....
I think Ugly will learn to be Eric's 'best friend' and never argue with Mrs Manchester's cat Penelope. I also thought that Ugly will be a good
dog to his owner.

Meet the Mascots!
Vinicius
While the two friends share mascot duties, Vinicius is the official mascot of the Rio 2016 Olympics, while Tom is actually the official sponsor of the Paralympic Games.
According to his website, Vinicius is a "mixture of all the Brazilian animals" who was "born out of the explosion of joy that happened when they announced that Rio would host the Olympic Games, on 2 October 2009."
He loves making new friends from all around the world, but his best friend is Tom. According to the website, his mission is "... to spread joy throughout the world and celebrate the friendship that flourishes between people from all over."

Since Vinicius is an amalgamation of every Brazilian animal, it makes sense that Tom is a mixture of every plant. On his website, Tom describes himself as a magical creature who uses "creativity, intelligence and determination," to accomplish his goals, important qualities for the mascot of the Paralympic Games.

Czech speed skater Martina Sáblíková was only 18 when she took part in her first Olympic Winter Games at Turin 2006. While something of an unknown outside her sport, her opponents knew full well she was a force to be reckoned with, the teenager having broken a string of junior world records and won her first European Championship medals by the time she went to Italy. A further indication of her growing stature and the huge expectations invested in her came at the opening ceremony in Turin, where she carried her country’s flag.
Anna Dušková is a Czech figure skater. Competing in pairs with partner Martin Bidař, she is the 2016 World Junior champion, 2016 Youth Olympic silver medalist, and 2015 JGP Final silver medalist.
Single Skating
As a single skater, Dušková made her JGP debut in September 2013, placing 12th at an event in Gdańsk, Poland. She competed at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria but was eliminated after placing 32nd in the short program. During the 2014–15 season, she placed 10th and 14th at her JGP assignments.
In 2015–16, Dušková was 10th at her JGP event in Toruń, Poland. She made her senior international debut in October, finishing 11th at the 2015 Ondrej Nepela Trophy and 6th at the 2015 Ice Challenge, both of which were part of the ISU Challenger Series (CS). Olympics will be held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It will start in August 5, 2016 - August 21, 2016. New Zealand will participate and I hope they'll
win some medals! This Olympics there are 306 events in 19 days! They will give 136 medals for women and 161 medals for men and nine mixed

Term 2 Highlights
When we went to the museum it was really fun! My favourite museum is the Forrester Gallery. With the class and the parents the trip is more fun.
I'm in the van with Blossom and Tessa. Baking cookies. M1 baked cookies for the Guide Dogs. My partner is Blossom and Georgia, We made
Lemon cookies. It was really satisfying rolling the dough! School Production. I watched the production the second day. My favourite part is when
Caitlin fired the pool gun. I know that the gun's going to fire, but I thought it's going to happen last. It was an amazing play! There's funny parts,
action parts and creepy parts.
Term 1 Highlights
Camp was absolutely amazing! It was my first time camping with out any of my family, just me! My favourite part is when we did Shooting, Circuit,
Archery and Team Building. I also like when we did the Camp concert, Lily, Tessa, Georgia and I did a play called "Being a new kid" . Holly, Blossom
and Oliver did a play as well. I hated Tramp. It was the worst. Walking to the never ending path, with a heavy and bulky bag on your back. But every
night we play Spotlight, and that makes the Tramp a little bit fun! When we walked to Huxley we thought that we are going to die in the middle of.....
nowhere. But suddenly, Mr. White came! Lifesaver! Lily and I hopped in the car and found a place to relax. When we came in Huxley Lily and I rushed
inside and layed down.

2016 Maori Language Week
Māori Language Week 2016 is going to be positive, relevant, energetic, fun and exciting! It will show New Zealand that there is a place for the Māori language in our stadiums, on our sports fields, in the news and the ever growing realm of social media. It will also show the country that te reo Māori is a language for all New Zealanders.
The campaign will run from July 4 – 10.
The theme for this year is ākina te reo – behind you all the way which is about using te reo Māori to support people, to inspire and to cheer on.
Continuing with last year’s approach, we will develop 50 phrases in te reo Māori that are simple to use, even for those with little or no grasp of the language.
To ensure the phrases carry momentum, over and beyond the campaign week, we will hang them off sports events, starting with the Olympics and other popular sports codes and events that occur throughout the year, and that move our communities and the nation to rally behind our athletes.
Māori Language Week is an annual campaign, led by the Māori Language Commission, to promote the language to New Zealand. The campaign is about raising awareness that New Zealand has its very own language and encouraging the use of it, with simple phrases every day, week and month of the year.
Māori Language Week, te wiki o te reo Māori, is a government-sponsored initiative intended to encourage New Zealanders to promote the use of Māori language. Māori, English and New Zealand Sign Language are the official national languages of New Zealand. It is part of the broader Māori language revival.
It has been celebrated since 1975 and is currently spearheaded by Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development and the Māori Language Commission, with many organisations participating, including schools, libraries, government departments, etc.
Baking cookies
On Friday we made cookies for Guide Dogs. I paired up with Blossom and Georgia. It was really fun rolling the soft dough. But unfortunately Blossom
need to go to Production practice. I thought I was going to be alone, then Georgia came and I was like YAY! We used the dog cookie cutter and the
star cookie cutter. We used the cookie star cutter for Matariki. Room 15 have been studying about Matariki. Blossom finished the practice it was really
fun with more people. We made Lemon dog cookies. My favourite part is rolling the dough and pressing the cutter to the dough. After all we forgot to
take out the cookies in the oven. 20 cookies were burnt! But we had a chance to have a taste, but it tasted bitter!

The Museum of the Past Part 1
Hi my name is Rain. My parents named that to me because it was raining when I was born. I live with my older brother Percy.
Our parents died in the Light Train 3 years ago, there was a malfunction in the train that caused the crash. Over 100 died. But my brother
told me never cry again to what happened to our parents, they will always be in our hearts.
Today we have a class trip. We're going to a museum, it's not just a museum, it's the museum of the past. I'm excited and dressed up in my
suit. As I walked out the door I saw my friend Iris. "Are you excited?" she said. "Totally" I replied. "Good! Last week everyone don't want to go,
but I'm lucky you're going with me!" she said. "Really? I thought you're going because I'm going" I said. "I am not doing all the things you're doing!".
Iris replied. "Well, mostly" I said.
When we're in the classroom no one's in there."Hello?" I said. The classroom is very gloomy and cold. As we went in, we looked for anyone.
Then suddenly a shadow went passed the door. "This is not funny guys" Iris said in a wobbly voice. "What's going on? Ms Haven?" I said.
When we turned around and walked we felt someone behind our backs."Arrrrghh!". We screamed and ran away, It's Ms Haven outside the classroom.
"What was that?" Ms Haven asked. "Ummmm.... ahh" I said. We heard laughing inside the classroom. We opened the door and saw Max, Fawke,
Milla and Grigg. "That wasn't scary, you know!" Iris said. "But you're shivering" Fawke said. "N-no I'm not!" Iris said. "That's enough!" Ms Haven said.
Milla walked towards us and said "I'm sooooo sorry guys!". "But why did you did it then? I said. "They told me if I didn't do it they'll bully me" she said.
"What! So you're saying you are scared of boys!" I said. "Am I?" Milla asked. "It's time to go, grab your bags and get ready!" Ms Haven said.
"It's giant!' Max shouted. "Can you shut up for the rest of the day?" Iris said. "It's not my plan, It's Fawkes!" Max replied. "Alright! We're coming in!"
Ms Haven said. "This is the robot who will show us the artefacts" Ms Haven said. "Hello Mr....." Grigg said. "Error" the robot said. "I'm asking you?".
"It doesn't have a name...I think" I said. Milla clears her throat "Ehem... Good Morning Mr Robot we are having a field trip here in the Museum of the Past". "Glad to meet you Miss Milla!". "How rude!" Grigg shouted. "We must go" Mr Robot said. As I walked through I blinding light coming towards me.

MATARIKI BISCUITS
Ingredients
150 g butter1/3 cup icing sugar½ cup cornflour½ cup ground almonds1 cup white flour1 tsp almond essence1 egg
Method
Melt the butter in a large pot.Remove it from the heat, mix in the dry ingredients.Whisk the egg and essence together.Add the egg mixture to the rest of the mix, stir in well.Add a little extra flour if the mixture is too wet to roll out.Form the dough into a ball and knead it gently on a well-floured board.Roll out the dough with a floured rolling pin to ½ cm thick.Cut it into shapes with a star-shaped cutter.Place the shapes on a greased or non-stick baking tray. (They can be close together as the mixture does not spread.)Bake the biscuits at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
Ice them with a water icing flavoured with almond essence (1 cup sifted icing sugar, 1 tsp almond essence, a little hot water to mix to a smooth icing) and decorate them with silver cashous, or hundreds and thousands, or flaked almonds.
I think it looks pretty simple but i bet it tastes good!
Matariki
Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars known as the Pleiades. When it rises in the north-eastern skies in late May or early June, it signals to Māori that the New Year will begin. In one tradition, Matariki is the mother surrounded by her six daughters, Tupu-a-nuku, Tupu-a-rangi, Waitī, Waitā, Waipuna-a-rangi and Ururangi.

Duntroon Winter Sports
I woke up early to go to Duntroon. At first I don't want to go but everyone said it is not optional. So I paid and went.
I was nervous that no girl will go because most of them aren't going. But luckily Blossom and Holly was there! *whew*
My number is 3 so was Holly but Blossom is 4 and she said she is pretty quiet with the crowd she don't know.
They put us on a van while the juniors are in bus. We sang all the way up to Duntroon. Now we're here I felt more
nervousness in me, well poor Blossom she is the only Twizel girl in her group.
Now were going to start to play Netball, again, nervous. I've never played Netball before. Most of them played Netball.
Well, It went fine at first but, when the senior girl decided to play a game, I froze there and said ''okay''. My position is goal keep,
I have no idea what that means but they explained it to me how to do it, pretty much I get it....I guess. They won at the end I did
much better at Netball.
Next Soccer. I don't know why girls have to do soccer, I just don't know. I've played soccer before, but I did good! We played this
kind of game. You have tails tucked in your shorts an they represented as tails and you have to grab their tails to get them out.
Of course I did well, but not with this one. The next game we played is like the game we played first but with a twist. You have to
dribble the soccer ball while taking someone's tail. I came second but I feel bad for myself. Oh well let's move on to the next game.
This we were arranged into groups, I did a good job on this! Two goals,Two teams and many soccer balls! To play the game you have
to score, that's easy, I know, but someone is going to block you. It was really fun we won the first and they won to the second game.
This is my favourite one.....Taekwondo. I loved it so much I don't think girls would like it but it was worth it! We did different kinds of
kicks and punches. We also used punching bags to kick and punch. I also got a chance to punch the Teacher! Don't worry I didn't
knocked him out. At the end we gave our best to punch, Holly got the strongest punch!
LUNCH! I am so hungry that time after we used our energy. After we ate our lunch, we went to the playground and played. It was so fun
there are so many people who played that I don't know who's in.
We did our last one a bit far to the school....Golf. For me it was boring, I can't put the golf ball to the hoop I really can't do it. So, we walked
to the school and sat there. They thanked the coaches and teachers who helped us. We didn't know who will do it so, Blossom did.
After all We went home and rested. Learned new things.
M1 Field Trip 2016
Yesterday June 7th, We went to Oamaru. First we went to Forrester Gallery, Liz King the curator of the
museum showed us where to go. It was really fun we found Colin Wheeler's book.There was very strange paintings and
we had a chance to go to the wonderlab. There was creepy body parts like hearts and fat!
Next stop North Otago Museum. The first thing I saw a massive printer. The museum wasn't really that big because they're
moving behind the Forrester Gallery. Everyone is asking very good questions but I can't think of one so, I never asked.
After, everyone went to Subway and bought their lunch. We ate our lunch in front of the next museum we're going to.
Oamaru Prehistoric World is full of dinosaurs. I liked it but Nathaniel didn't because he said dinosaurs are x-rated.
It fun watching the video of the dinosaurs. There is a dinosaur head where we took a photo.
Lastly, We drive out to Duntroon and went to Fossil World. When I saw the fossils, I was so amazed. They have different kinds of
fossils, sea shells, shark teeth etc. I took many photos of the museum, and I really like the huge penguin! I really liked it but I think
We went home tired and our brains learnt new things.Room 15 really enjoyed the trip and learned many stuff. I hope the curators
also had fun spending their time with us.

Colin was born in Dunedin in 1919 Died June 2012Colin Wheeler is an Otago man, both by birth and residence. He took up commercial art as a career, studying first at the Canterbury School of Art and then at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in London; and subsequently became an art teacher at Waitaki Boys’ High School....
Retired from teaching, and living in Oamaru, Colin still paints for up to 70 hours per week. He has held several solo exhibitions of his painting, and is very well known for his Historic High Country Sheep Station books.

I know this is a bit early to tell you but the next book I'm reading is......I know this book will be more exciting!
The Prince and the Albatross Egg 1994
The video conference began with a girl from Halfway Bush School explaining the nesting habits at the Royal Albatross colony at the Otago Peninsula.
Prince Charles arrived and sat down quietly amongst the Wellington children and listened. Then he took a microphone and began asking questions.
''What is the wing-span of the adult Albatross''?
''Up to 3.5 meters,'' they all answered.
''And how big is the Albatross egg''?
The Dunedin children held one up in front the television camera. The prince noted that it was very big - no room for two eggs in an Albatross egg.
Then came an unexpected royal question
''Can you eat an Albatross egg, do you think?''
There was a long silence. No one in New Zealand would think of eating an royal Albatross egg. There are only few nesting pairs, and we are carefully protecting them.
But other Albatross egg? on sub-Antarctic islands where are they in common?
Nobody knew the answer - except me. I was dying to butt in. I had lived on Albatross and penguin eggs while teaching in the Falkland Islands.

Maths with Carol
I was sitting at class waiting what to happen.Blossom,Oliver and James were also with me.
First, we watched a video about Division, After Carol asked us what is division is. We have
partners to explained with.
Then,Carol gave us this ''Happy Board''. There is a hundred of happy faces on the board.
All of them have different colours. That makes it easier because there are breach numbers.
Now, Carol said to do 7 times tables using division.She started of a little bit then we did the rest.
It was pretty fun using the Happy Board but when Blossom's stuck OH NO! every ones doing well
except her. Miss McLennan tried to help her, that helped but she still not satisfied about it.
And then, the Bead Frame came. It really helped her a lot!
I really had fun doing Maths with Carol and Miss McLennan It was a big help for me to learn
Maths and some tricks that are really helpful.

I think NASA museum is cool to go to.Lake Pukaki
The outflow, and consequently the storage capacity of the lake, is controlled by a dam (the lake level can be varied between 1,610 and 1,637 ft above sea level), thus enabling more effective use to be made of the water by the 105-megawatt Lake Waitaki hydro-electric station. Other stations planned or under construction will also use water from Pukaki.
The meaning of the name is obscure but, according to a legend, Raikaihaitu (who dug out the Southern Lakes), noticing the bulging appearance of the outlet, gave this name, meaning “bunched-up waters”.

Being the youngest in the family is bad, your brother/sister always give you commands.Well, you don't do much work but they treat you like
a servant! do this, do that UGRH!!!!!!!!!!!! Every morning I have to wake my brother up every time he overslept it was so annoying that he can't
wake up on his own! But, the nice part is your the one who always be forgiven, when my brother/sister and I had they always get told of.

Camp was so fun! We played different kind of games. I likehelping stuff. At night, the boys keep flashing their torches in

The Whispering Oak of Dodona
This mythical oak tree comes from Greek mythology and was one of the first oracles of Zeus in the ancient days. While it’s hard to say for sure who first came up with the idea, some accounts say that the first oracle of Dodona was likely an Egyptian priestess who was kidnapped and brought to the area.
While the tree did have an actual history to it, it has also appeared in mythology. In the story of the Argonauts, Jason is told by the gods to use a branch from the tree as part of the construction of his ship, to make his journey safer. Achilles also goes to Dodona for guidance in the Iliad. Unfortunately, the real tree was cut down after Christianity became the dominant religion in the area.
Maths with Decipipes
Miss McLennan divided us to groups I'm doing maths with Oliver,Brayden and Caylen.
Learning maths using Decipipes is fun. Caylen make us to do 1/10 10/100 and 100/1000.
The Nukes
I watched their performance.It was amazingly good to your ears.
There are 3 members Dave, Snapper and Ben.They make songs using different kind of instruments, including Ukuele.
Tessa, Holly and Blossom played a guitar with The Nukes and Georgia sang. I really liked them so much.

This week were doing Science using a Pendulum.
We are using pendulums, different kinds of pendulums like 50g and 100g. We need to answer the questions Mr. Potter gave us.
Q:How many swings can a pendulum do in 30 seconds using the 50g pendulum?
A: 31 swings
Q:How many seconds does it takes for 30 swings using the 50g pendulum?
A:29 seconds
Q:How many swings can a pendulum do in 30 seconds using the 100g pendulum?

Yesterday, I gave my mum THAT letter! and it was....fine, I guess. "Miss McLennan told us to give this letter" I said. "Okay" my mum said. After that I left
and did my homework. Moments later, "You did that last year as well didn't you?" my mum said. "Hmmm... I bet it will be funny as" I said boringly. "It won't be that bad,". I walked to my bedroom and ignored what she's saying.
